2010 Technical Service Training Courses

US Airconditioning Distributors is pleased to announce a new series of technical training classes designed as a review for the experienced service technician and an introduction for the entry level technician. The class includes a binder of training materials. Students will have a final exam and will receive a certificate of completion. The cost of the class is $280.00 per student and qualifies for 30 hours of NATE continuing education credit. Class times will be from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm and DOES include a meal.

Electrical Wiring Interpretation - View Schedule | Register Online | Download registration form

This class will start with a review of the most common symbols used in electrical diagrams for HVAC. From there, we will cover the use of these symbols in ladder, pictorial and component diagrams. Learn how to interpret the sequence of operation of the unit using the electrical diagrams. Troubleshooting techniques will also be covered using the hop scotch method of meter placement. Handouts to include literature pertaining to subject covered. The class qualifies for 3 hours of NATE continuing education credit.

This class will focus on York commercial gas electric package products up to 25 tons capacity with economizers. Starting with a brief product familiarization followed by concentrating on the unit controls to include Simplicity Lite, Simplicity 1A, VAV Economizer board, four stage expansion board and economizer controls. Troubleshooting and product manuals will be part of the hand out materials.

A thorough look at why burnouts occur and how to prevent them. We will also present the proper way to clean out a system once a burnout occurs.

The training will also cover what one should do when acid, carbon deposits, sludge, and copper plating exists in a compressor as well as acid testing and acid neutralization.
