Evening Classes: Classes begin at 6:00 PM at last approximately three hours. The cost is $40.00 and most classes qualify for 3 hours of NATE continuing education credit. Class schedules are subject to change without notice. Receive a $5.00 discount per student when registering multiple students 2 weeks in advance.

This class will focus on correct installation practices, theory of operation, application, controls, modulating and non modulating operation, PSC and ECM blower motors and startup procedures. A list of qualifying furnaces for tax credit will be provided the night of the class. The class qualifies for 3 hours of NATE continuing education credit.
The cost of the class is $40.00. The class time is outlined below and DOES include a meal. The classes will be taught by Craig Walker, Mike Welsh and Bruce Neilson. Class will fill on a first come, first served basis so RSVP ASAP and we will enjoy class together.

A/C Mechanical Troubleshooting - View Schedule/Registration Form |

This class will cover diagnostic troubleshooting of the mechanical refrigeration system. We will evaluate system problems by systematically determining causes and effect when different components in the system malfunction. The class qualifies for 3 hours of NATE continuing education credit.

This class will cover proper sizing of suction, liquid and discharge piping. We will evaluate long line applications, double suction risers and piping accessories. The class qualifies for 3 hours of NATE continuing education credit.

Technical Training Series for 2009
We are pleased to announce a new series of technical training classes designed as a review for the experienced service technician and an introduction for the entry-level technician. The class includes a binder of training materials. Students who successfully pass the Final Exam will receive a Certificate of Completion. The cost of the series is $275.00 per student. Class times will be from 7:00am to 10:00am and DO NOT include a meal.

TEC: TEC Zoning and Constant Volume Set-Up & Operation (1 Day) - $200 per person
This course is designed to introduce technical people to the set-up and operation of Johnson Controls TEC Zoning System. Students will learn where to apply, how to install, how to configure and commission this BACnet protocol zoning system. Lectures are supplemented with hands-on programming using zoning sytem demostration panels. Due to the hands-on exercises, the class will be limited to the first 12 students. Students will be shown how the TEC Zoning System can be integrated into an optional supervisory front-end software program using Facility Explorer Workbench.
CCS: Commercial Comfort Systems Set-Up & Operation (1 Day) - $300 per person
This course is designed to introduce technical people to the JCI/York Commercial Comfort Systems and prepares them to apply, install, program, and start-up the product. It provides in-depth knowledge of the factory/field installed digital controllers, design and operation of the BACnet MS/TP network, and operation of the touch screen user interface. Classroom lectures are supplemented with hands-on workshops using CCS control hardware and software.
NOTE: A laptop computer is not necessary, but participants are encouraged to bring their own if they have one.
FX: Facility Explorer Field Controller Program, Set-up & Operation (2 Days) - $800 per person
This course is designed to introduce HVAC tradesmen to the Facility Explorer (FX) control system by Johnson Controls and prepares them to install, program, and start-up the core FX products. This class provides an overview of the field controllers, supervisory controllers, and the design and operation of the network. Classroom lectures are supplemented with hands-on exercises using FX hardware and software.
NOTE: Participants need to bring their own laptop computer to class. Participants will receive FX Tools Pro software and FX controller commissioning adaptor cable.
Participants will learn how to create their own Facility Explorer application programs using Windows-based FX Builder software. The power of the Facility Explorer controller family is in its flexibility. Participants will then download and commission their applications with the FX CommPro program.
FX: Facility Explorer Supervisory Controller Set-up & Operation (2 Days) - $600 per person
This course is designed to introduce HVAC tradesmen to the Facility Explorer (FX) control system by Johnson Controls and prepares them to install, program, and start-up Supervisory FX controllers. This class provides an overview of the field and supervisory controllers, design and operation of the network, and operation of the Niagra Workbench front-end. Classroom lectures are supplemented with hands-on exercises using FX hardware and software.
NOTE: Participants need to bring their own laptop computer to class with FX Tools Pro software already installed. Participants are eligible for a one-time special discount on FX Tools Supervisor Pro software (Workbench on laptop).
Participants will learn how to work with Facility Explorer application programs using Windows-based FX Workbench software. The power of the Facility Explorer controller family is in its flexibility.
